Well, when we predicted 2020 would be a year unlike any other, this wasn’t quite what we had in mind. In this year of constant upheaval and anxiety, it’s been all too easy to focus on the negatives, the challenges, and the goals that had to go on the backburner as the pandemic continued to rage longer than any of us anticipated.
However, for many of us, and certainly for the team here at Gotransverse, 2020 has also been a year of incredible growth and achievement, and I want to take a moment to reflect on all the positives we’ve seen this year before we eagerly (and deservedly) turn our sights toward 2021.
First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to the entire team at Gotransverse. You all really stepped up in March and took the barrage of uncertainty and change around the pandemic and resulting stay-at-home orders in stride. Moving our entire company remote wasn’t easy. Still, I’ve been amazed over and over again at how successfully we were able to achieve such a gargantuan task — and we’ve continued to operate as a cohesive team despite our physical separations.
This year we were thrilled to announce several new customers to the Gotransverse family in 2020. Welcome again to audio-video superpower QSC and omnichannel advertising giant Mediaocean, among others. Both of these companies are growing exponentially, adding new offerings and solutions for their clients, and we are honored to play a role in those initiatives.
“We determined Gotransverse was the best platform to handle the increasingly complex billing scenarios we are seeing. Our customers invest billions in advertising across a wide range of media, so there is no room for error. Gotransverse delivers the scalability required with a degree of accuracy and transparency that allows our customers to gain maximum value from our platform, all while reducing the monthly billing close time.” - Doug Polignano, SVP Finance and Global Controller, Mediaocean
We also expanded our partnership with the cloud data platform Snowflake to make our Premier Data Access add-on available through Snowflake’s Data Marketplace. As a result, we’re pleased to offer our users direct access to Gotransverse billing data stored on Snowflake’s cloud data platform for advanced reporting, visualization, and analytics.
“Snowflake has embraced usage-based pricing from our inception, and we understand the value of an intelligent billing engine like Gotransverse for enabling utilization-based business models at scale. By adding Premier Data Access to the Snowflake Data Marketplace, Gotransverse empowers Snowflake customers to seamlessly access and derive insights from their billing data.”
- Christian Kleinerman, SVP Product Management, Snowflake
Even in the best of years, we pride ourselves at Gotransverse on thinking creatively to offer valuable solutions that empower our clients’ growth. 2020 was no different, and we were humbled and honored to see our hard work recognized by several leading analysts:
- Forrester’s Lily Varon joined our president, Michael Beamer, for an insightful webinar discussion of billing technology for recurring revenue businesses.
- We were named to the Constellation ShortList for top Smart Services Digital Monetization Platforms for Q3 2020.
- We were cited in the new Gartner report in our space, Market Guide for Subscription Billing and Management, and received four coveted mentions in other reports:
- Gartner Hype Cycle for Communication Service Provider (CSP) Operations, 2019
- Gartner Digital Commerce Vendor Guide, 2020
- Gartner Hype Cycle for CRM Sales Technology, 2020
- Gartner Hype Cycle for Digital Commerce, 2020
And, perhaps the most significant honor of the year, we were named one of Austin’s Top Workplaces of 2020 by the Austin American-Statesman. We’re incredibly grateful for this award because the Statesman’s list is based entirely on employee feedback, making it a truly effective look at just what kind of workplace we have at Gotransverse. Whether we’re all together in our beautiful downtown office or scattered across the city in spare rooms and corners of our homes, you’ve kept our culture alive and well. The survey measures 15 drivers of successful company culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, among others. Our results reflect the success that Gotransverse leadership and employees have had in bringing to life the ideal culture we strive so hard to achieve.
In all — and in spite of it all — 2020 has been another incredible year for Gotransverse, and we couldn’t be prouder of all we’ve accomplished. We couldn’t do any of it without our fantastic team and our wonderful customers and partners. We are honored, year after year, to be the leading intelligent billing platform on the market, but we know that wouldn’t be possible without the opportunities we’ve had to partner with so many fantastic brands, organizations, and people. Our most important success metric here at Gotransverse is our customers’ success, and we are grateful to each of you for letting us be a part of that.
Wishing everyone some much needed relaxation during this holiday season. Stay safe, and we’ll see you in a healthy and prosperous 2021.
