Recently I was fortunate to be on stage at MGI Research’s Monetize 11 Conference Amsterdam– the Premier Agile Monetization Platform Event in Europe. Gotransverse was proud to sponsor this event focused on monetization strategies, including billing, payments, e-commerce, and quote-to-cash strategies. It also explored new pricing models and payment methods like new digital business strategies, subscription pricing, and tactics for frictionless commerce.

I had the opportunity to speak to the conference about changes in the marketplace like high regulatory compliance, high volume transactional process, and the complexities of global support for such critical items such as time zones, currencies, and taxation on the Agile Billing Panel Discussion with MGI and Just.On and Good Sign. I also had the chance to meet with MGI analysts to discuss changing market conditions and talk to other professionals about state-of-the-art billing, pricing, and revenue recognition strategies that I could take home to my team of experts in Austin.

MGI Research announced earlier this year that Gotransverse had been named the leader in enterprise product offering in their Marketing Ratings Report: Agile Billing Solutions — A Buyer’s Guide with very high scores in management, strategy, and finance. This research has been powerful validation of the industry-leading work we have performed, and I was proud to share these results, as well as speak to our Gotransverse’s plans in shaping the future of agile monetization.

The Gotransverse Story from Starz Play

I wasn’t the only one singing Gotransverse’s praises on stage at Monetize 11. Starz Play CIO, Saleem Bhatti, gave a case study presentation about their recurring billing system which provides subscription video-on-demand (VOD) services to customers across 19 different countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan. They stream thousands of movies, documentaries, and television programs to customers and needed a scalable solution capable of handling complex, high-volume subscriptions and went with Gotransverse to accomplish this feat.

I listened as Saleem discuss their unique challenges with direct carrier billing in the MENA and Southeast Asia where a large portion of their customer base pays for streaming entertainment services on their mobile phone bill. This requires services providers to work with carriers to support complex billing and unique subscription management rules and accommodate last-minute carrier handling charges and change requests. Using the Gotransverse Billing Platform, Starz Play customers now get frictionless experience, choosing weekly or monthly subscriptions billed through their mobile carrier or their credit card, which has resulted in increased customer adoption and satisfaction.

It is always an honor to represent Gotransverse and our capabilities to a sophisticated and knowledgable global audience. Having Starz Play present at the Monetize conference gave us an opportunity to share lessons learned about agile monetization and how we work with our customers to solve their business objectives. They want to drive revenue, reduce costs, and launch new products quickly without needing a billing specialist on hand. As with our other customers, we help them accomplish their goals on a global basis.

Onward and upward!
