We are thrilled to welcome a new client to the Gotransverse family! Expedient, a provider of data center and cloud services for the enterprise, adopted our intelligent billing solution to replace its existing on-premise system and expand its client offerings to include services that demand faster time-to-market than its previous billing system provided.

Expedient is a full-stack cloud service provider, helping companies transform their IT operations through award-winning multi-cloud solutions and managed services, including enterprise cloud, disaster recovery, virtual desktop infrastructure, security and compliance, and more. It's only fitting, then, that they would be eager to adopt a cloud-based solution for their billing needs.

Expedient’s Billing Challenges

Until now, Expedient has been using a legacy billing and revenue management system initially designed for communications service providers (CSPs). However, as the organization grew and evolved, the on-premise system's limited flexibility became an obstacle to achieving its goals. (And the high maintenance costs and unpredictable license costs didn’t help either.) Since Expedient had recently implemented a new cloud-based ERP system, the time was right to migrate billing to the cloud.

"We needed to find a billing system that could handle our complex pricing models and scale with our services and subscriber growth,” said Chris Berk, Chief Information Officer of Expedient.

And that's where we come in.

“We have been in the process of transitioning all our back-office systems to the cloud, and Gotransverse offered the most versatile cloud billing solution that we evaluated…” said Berk. “We selected Gotransverse for their experience in telecom billing and for their billing and revenue recognition capabilities that support our current requirements and future plans.”

The Billing Support They Need Now...

By standardizing with Gotransverse, Expedient can introduce new product and service offerings more quickly while continuing to support its existing business. They also reduce operational overhead related to managing an on-premise system and adopt predictable costs that map to revenue growth.

Along with its billing and invoicing, Expedient uses Gotransverse to manage revenue recognition. The platform handles revenue recognition rules, including one-time charges, recurring charges, service fees, and price proration, making it easy for Expedient to migrate to the new solution with minimal disruption to business processes.

…And in the future.

And it’s not just the present-day needs Gotransverse’s platform is ready to meet. We know that, in business today, the only constant is change, and it's our mission not only to support our clients' current needs but to help them future-proof their billing practices, getting them ready for whatever is ahead (expected or not). For example, Gotransverse can scale to meet growing business needs without requiring businesses to pay in advance for more capacity. And we also offer the flexibility to accelerate time-to-market for new services, including modifying existing plans and handling time-bound promotions and service trials.

“Our background is in supporting market-leading communications services providers, so we understand the business challenges that CSPs like Expedient face. Our platform was specifically designed to support scalable billing for all monetization models, whether that is subscriptions, one-time charges, and consumption-based products and services. We deliver future-proof billing services that can adapt to any company’s business needs.”
