Engineering Manager
Gotransverse is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams in developing innovative enterprise software. As a key member of our Engineering team, you’ll drive productivity by delivering impactful solutions and guiding team members through continuous professional growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead Multiple Teams: Manage multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across projects to achieve organizational goals.
- Conduct Individual Development Planning: Hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members, providing mentorship and creating individualized growth plans to support professional development.
- Define Technical Vision and Roadmap: Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and strategies.
- Oversee the Software Development Lifecycle: Own the entire software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment.
- Champion Best Practices and Innovation: Drive the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies within your teams, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work effectively with product managers and software engineers across other platform teams to ensure the successful delivery of features and solutions.
- Drive Execution of Roadmaps: Develop and execute 3- to 6-month project roadmaps for high-impact, cross-functional initiatives.
- Establish a Metrics-Driven Culture: Implement and track key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Communicate Effectively: Clearly convey technical decisions and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications snapshot (what you bring):
- Extensive experience in building enterprise software, with a strong understanding of the Java stack.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams, including responsibilities such as hiring, conducting one-on-ones, performance management, and developing individualized growth plans.
- Experience in the fintech industry, with a deep understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications snapshot (what you bring):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience developing financial applications (e.g., Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Revenue Management, Collections, CRM, E-commerce).
- Strong comprehension of business logic, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing a technical roadmap that aligns with business objectives.
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing teams of software engineers, with a focus on skill development and increasing engineering effectiveness.
- Demonstrated success managing a team of high-caliber software engineers in building complex, world-class, and scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
