Senior Software Engineer L2 (Team Lead)



Gotransverse is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer L2 to join our fast-growing SaaS billing and Revenue Management solution on the Engineering team. As part of our growing software company, you will lead a team of engineers in developing and enhancing platform services and APIs. In this role, you will advocate for best practices in quality, scalability, and performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage a team of 5 engineers.
  • Collaborate across the senior organization, sharing expertise and guidance.
  • Provide integration architecture and recommend frameworks and design patterns.
  • Employ a systems-thinking approach to tackle issues, considering people, processes, and technology.
  • Identify outdated methods and propose strategic improvements.
  • Report project status to technical leadership via written and oral communication.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of system architecture and processes.


Requirements snapshot (what you bring):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience building Java back-end and JavaScript front-end (any framework).
  • Experience designing scalable, event-driven systems.
  • Proficiency with Spring and Hibernate ORM frameworks or similar.
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, and event-streaming with Kafka (experience or understanding with Redis, Postgres or ElasticSearch).
  • Skilled in identifying and solving business problems at both project and team levels.
  • Strong alignment with business objectives and ability to communicate technical decisions effectively.
  • Proficient in project quality measures, including testing, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Experience setting and tracking operational excellence metrics at the team level.
