Recently, I was fortunate to attend and speak at MGI Research’s Monetize 12 Conference San Francisco – the industry’s only independent conference focused on digital transformation in Quote-to-Cash. Gotransverse was proud to once again sponsor this event focused on monetization strategies, including billing, payments, e-commerce, and quote-to-cash strategies. It was a pleasure for me to present and share our vision on The Next Frontiers in Agile Billing.
In today's world we need to think differently about how we want to interact with our clients. In the one-time sale, you had one touch point, in the subscription world, you engage typically once a year or you can have a more granular relationship engaging with your client in a consumption based manner or a combination of all three. The point here is that, billing must be at the heart of Agile Monetization. You must think about the art of the possible from a packaging and pricing perspective. From there, extensibility becomes important, enabling you tolayer on the right CPQ followed by CLM. Our customers have a variety of tools they need to connect to their billing, so we’ve been investing in a flexible connector service that makes it easy to plug in different tools and I was excited to share all the hard work we have been doing at Gotransverse.
Beyond speaking and sharing our vision, I also had the opportunity to catch up with some of our amazing partners like Workday, Accenture, Snowflake, and Salesforce just to name a few, as well as meet with MGI analysts on the ever-changing market conditions and the future of billing.
MGI Research actually announced earlier this year that Gotransverse had been named the #1 leader in enterprise product offering in their Marketing Ratings Report: Agile Billing Solutions — A Buyer’s Guide with very high scores in management, strategy, and finance. This research has been powerful validation of the industry-leading work we have performed.
